I am a psychotherapist, yoga therapist, mental health educator, and consultant.
My approaches are simple. I rely on the wisdom of nature to guide me in understanding human suffering and the path out of it.
I support people of all walks of life who wish to deepen their sense of belonging in this world, to feel at home in their breathing bodies, and experience greater peace of mind as a result. Because everyone deserves a chance at falling in love with life itself – over and over and over again.
Consider me a counsellor, a coach, a facilitator, a teacher, a student, a mirror, a container, a passionate social justice advocate, and most importantly – someone who is on this journey we call being human alongside you.
Whether you are a potential therapy client, a course or workshop participant, or a professional seeking my clinical supervision and consultation services, my intention is the same: to support you in showing up for yourself, for others, and for the world around you, as your best, most authentic self. Together, we explore the conditions necessary for new self-discoveries, for slowing down, for listening, and for softening, – so that mental clarity, awe and curiosity can arise.
Working Philosophy
Therapeutic Approaches
I have dedicated my life and career to learning the application of therapeutic tools that can bring us wholeheartedness in the wake of everything, especially when the various parts of our being become disintegrated and we experience mental and emotional suffering. While I have training in numerous psychotherapeutic techniques and call on these when appropriate, I rely primarily on yoga therapy, nature-based therapy, and somatic experiencing in my work with others.
Education
I have a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from the Adler School of Professional Psychology in Vancouver, B.C. So, Adlerian Psychology is my foundation and remains my primary theoretical framework in the context of psychotherapy. I am a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), a Certified Canadian Counsellor (CCC) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA), and Certified Yoga Therapist and lifelong student in the Krishnamacharya Tradition of Yoga. Soon, I will have completed all requirements to add Somatic Experiencing Practitioner to my credentials. But all those certifications mean little, for my education has primarily come through being in relationship with nature, with others and fumbling through attempts at putting everything I know into practice.
